Abstract
The ’’graph theoretic’’ method of Clarke is analyzed with a view to application to stability problems other than chemical reactions. The extended version—essentially the extension of the vertex aspects of the method is applied to the analysis of the Rayleigh–Bénard (convective instability) for a binary mixture. Keywords
