Abstract
Isotopically labeled species, D+, 15N+, and 18O+, have been used to study ion‐atom interchange reactions at room temperature and, the case of D+, at lower temperatures. The use of isotopes permits the investigation of interchange reactions involving otherwise identical atoms. The implications of these measurements for reaction kinetics are discussed. Keywords
