Abstract
This study concerned itself with the introduction, preparation, and evaluation of an introductory course in gerontology for community college students. The course was designed to provide an opportunity for a better understanding of the nature and causes of the aging process and of psycho-social problems accompanying aging in contemporary society. Experimental research focused upon attitude changes of community college students about aging and older persons. The major hypothesis was that a course on gerontology would have a positive effect upon the attitudes of young people toward older persons; the findings supported this hypothesis. Keywords
