Abstract
Polypyrrole is synthesisedvia thermal decarboxylation of a precursor monomer, pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid, using ferric salts in both supercritical carbon dioxide and supercritical fluoroform; pressed pellet conductivities were as high as 2×10–2 S cm–1 and scanning electron microscopy studies revealed an unusual non-spherical morphology. Keywords
