Abstract
Ecology must be recognized not as a salvation, but rather as making only a contribution toward the resolving of man's environmental crises. Interdisciplinary curriculums focused on real problems and practical community action programs are posited as viable and necessary academic responses. Fundamentally, there must come a change in man's perception of nature and of himself. Keywords
