A V2O5phosphate filter glass with bandpass in the visible region (for photometry)

Abstract
A new filter glass with spectral transmittance curves in the visible region has been developed. It was made from two different basic compositions of phosphate glasses doped with V2O5 in the presence of K2O. Shifts of the transmittance peaks and changes in the transmittance intensities were obtained by varying the glass composition and V2O5 content. The glasses showed no sign of devitrification under normal laboratory conditions over a period of 1 year.
