Abstract
Evidence is presented to show that quail are susceptible to infection with Bact. tularense. Five quail fed an emulsion of spleen and liver of guinea pigs dead of tularemia died within a period of 8 days. This observation, together with the recent recovery of Bact. tularense by Green from a quail found dead in nature, warrants the suggestion that quail should be considered at least potential agents of human infection with tularemia. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
