Abstract
A new microsporophyll is described from the Middle Jurassic rocks of Yorkshire which consists of a rachis and a pinnately divided lamina with embedded sporangia. The sporophyll is referred to the same plant as the leaf Anomozamites nilssoni mainly on the bases of association and cuticle structures. WONNACOTTIA is of special interest because of the great rarity of leaf-like sporophylls in the later seed plants. A discussion of the possible origin and relationship of other Bennettitalean microsporophylls is given. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
