Membrano-proliferative Glomerulonephritis Associated with Persistent Viral Hepatitis

Abstract
A patient with chronic active hepatitis and persistent Australia antigenemia developed glomerulonephritis with pathologic features of chronic membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis. Examination of renal tissue by a fluorescent antibody technic suggested that immune complexes containing Australia antigen might be involved in the pathogenesis of the glomerular disease.
