Abstract
Two patients are described in which investigation of epilepsy revealed hypoparathyroidism. Case 1 proved to have idiopathic hypoparathyroid and hypogonadism which may have been due to pituitary insufficiency, and mild hypomagnesemia. Case 2 had familial pseudohypoparathyroidism with radiological hyperparathyroidism of the bones. ExtensiveEEG studies were carried out before, during and after correction of the plasma Ca levels. The literature of the neurological complication of hypocalcemia in hypoparathyroidism is reviewed. This publication has 38 references indexed in Scilit:
