Abstract
A young male developed enlargement of both lung roots. He also had had migrating thrombophlebitis. Thoracotomy, demonstrated that the lesions in the lung roots were mycotic aneurysms of the pulmonary artery. One small peripheral pulmonary mycotic aneurysm was also present. The terminal event was rupture of one of the aneurysms into the bronchial tree. The association of migrating thrombophlebitis, thrombosis of the intracranial venous sinuses and pulmonary artery aneurysms is believed to represent a syndrome as described by Hughes and Stovin. The etiology is obscure but may be related to infection and pulmonary embolism. Keywords
