Abstract
Performance on a 2-alternative verbal discrimination task was found to be significantly better (p <.01) under a Wrong-nothing and a Right-Wrong verbal reinforcement combination than under a Right-nothing combination. Further analyses suggested that these results were due to "nothing" acquiring less reinforcement (information) value when combined with Right than when combined with Wrong.
