Abstract
We have measured the -electron-emission probability for the 76-keV decay of and obtain . We correct an earlier measurement to . From the agreement with the Law-Campbell shakeoff-plus-shakeup prediction, 2.2×, the direct collision contribution to the emission is limited to of the Feinberg prediction, contrary to recent claims. We obtain an —x-ray probability due to -electron shakeoff per decay of (5.4±1.0) × , about half the theoretical value, and also some indication that shakeoff is predominantly .
