Abstract
We use an argon-ion laser, modulated at two or more frequencies, to pump a multimode dye laser. Time series of the modulated pump and the output of the dye laser are collected simultaneously. The dye-laser response is analyzed for the presence of chaotic and quasiperiodic attractors. We estimate and compare the correlation dimension and the order-2 Renyi entropy of both the modulated-pump and dye-laser output signals using an embedding-space technique. Fourier transforms of the time series are also compared. Keywords
