Abstract
A grey scale display system for ultrasound contact B scanning has been developed that produces six shades of grey on a high resolution storage oscilloscope. Clinical advantages of our system are: (1) the ability to display rapid serial images in full resolution, a technique not readily possible with alternate grey scale display system involving either scan converters or nonstorage oscilloscopes, and (2) the images produced have grey-level rendition and spacial resolution comparable to those of scan converter display systems at a significantly lower equipment cost. Keywords
