Abstract
"This study was an investigation of the validity of the Index of Adjustment and Values. Measures of emotionality as indicated by this Index were compared with measures of emotionality as obtained from a free-association test. The subjects constituted a homogeneous group in respect to age, sex, and educational level . . . The results indicate that the self-ratings of the Index are valid indices of emotionality."
