Abstract
A plaque assay has been developed for the minute virus of mice. The infectious unit is a single particle. Plaque size is determined by the extent of cell division in the infected monolayer. Infection of quiescent and serum-stimulated cells suggests that virus multiplication depends on host function(s) that are not normally expressed in resting cells. Keywords
