Perceptions and Attitudes of Decisionmaking Groups in Tourism Centers

Abstract
A study of three decisionmaking groups in various tourist centers was conducted using discriminant analysis. The results show that significant differences in the attitudes and perceptions of local tourism development exist for the business sector, administration, and residents. Examination of the respondents' distribution around the two functions, however, shows that the groups are not too far apart and possess sufficient overlap to suggest the possibility of trade-offs and compromise in future tourism development planning.Keywords
