Abstract
The electron spin resonance(ESR) and electronic absorption spectra of Rh II in a single crystal of ZnWO4 have been recorded. Excited state energies determined from the electronic spectrum are used in an attempt to interpret the measured ESRg values. The orientation of the Rh II magnetic axes relative to the crystalline axes has been measured, and from the magnitude of the hyperfine splitting for 103Rh(I=½), determined along each each axis, values of P=2γββ N 〈r —3〉 and κ are calculated. Keywords
