Abstract
Twenty-seven lichens from 16 genera are recorded from Mt Hirakimata, Great Barrier Island, New Zealand, between c. 500 m and the summit at 621 m. Coccotrema porinopsis (Nyl.) Imsh. ex Yoshim. and Siphula ramalinoides Nyl. ex Cromb. are new records for the New Zealand lichen flora. Lichens were collected from a forest environment with Dacrydium intermedium, D. cupressinum, and Agathis australis as important canopy trees. A northerly extension of the subalpine genus Siphula is noted, and a further location for Menegazzia eperforata P. James ined. is given. Keywords
