Abstract
The phragmosporous genera Magnaporthe and Telimenella are placed in the Physosporellaceae. Ceratosphaeria grisea is transferred to Magnaporthe and Telimenella phacidioidea sp. nov. is newly described. The differences between Hyponectria and Physalospora, both amerosporous genera of the family, are clarified. The 9 species assigned to Hyponectria are separated in a key and are briefly described. The new species H. betulina and H. gregaria are introduced; Laestadia auripunctum, Sphaeria cooptera, Sphaerella depressa, Guignardia lonicerae, Sphaeria magnoliae, Guignardia populi, and Laestadia rubescens are transferred to Hyponectria.
