ANTIBODIES AGAINST RIFAMPIN IN PATIENTS WITH TUBERCULOSIS AFTER DISCONTINUATION OF DAILY TREATMENT

Abstract
The presence of antibodies to rifampin was determined in the sera of patients with tuberculosis on daily treatment 1 day after discontinuation of treatment, 1 wk later, 3 wk later and 8 wk later. The highest number of positive patients was found in the 3rd wk. [These results have relevance to allergic drug reactions in patients treated continuously vs. intermittently with rifampin.].
