New Records of the Sordariaceae from East Africa

Abstract
Truangularia tanzaniensis is described and illustrated from cow dung. Asordaria v. Arx et al. is rejected. Sordaria islandica (.ident. Asordaria islandica Guarro and van der Aa) and Sordaria tenerifae (.ident. Asordaria tenerifae v. Arx and Guarro) comb. nov. are proposed. Numerous records for previously recognized taxa are reported. Sordaria alcina, S. brevicollis and S. lappae are new to Africa. Sordaria superba, S. tomento-alba, Triangularia karachiensis, Tripterospora erostrata and T. ultima are additions for East Africa.
