Neutron total cross sections and resonance parameters ofCu2963andCu2965. I

Abstract
High resolution neutron total cross sections of the isotopes of copper have been measured from about 10 to 150 keV using 5 nsec electron pulses and a flight path of 78.2 m. From the area and shape analysis of the transmission and total cross section data, precise values of the resonance parameters, such as E0, Γn0, Γn1, Jπ, etc., have been determined. For example, for Cu63 many s-wave resonances have been observed from 10 to 150 keV giving values of DJ=1=(2.7±0.3) keV, DJ=2=(4.0±0.5) keV, DJ=1+2=(1.63±0.13) keV, S0J=1=(3.0±0.6)×104 eV½, S0J=2=(2.0±0.5)×104 eV½, S0J=1,2=(2.5±0.4)×104 eV½. For Cu65 s-wave resonances were observed giving values of DJ=1=(3.6±0.4) keV, DJ=2=(5.0±0.7) keV, DJ=1+2=(2.12±0.19) keV, S0J=1=(2.9±0.6)×104 eV½,
