Abstract
Detailed studies in the Mesozoic basin of the western High Atlas region in southwestern Morocco show that two sedimentary cycles are represented in the Triassic. Details of the Jurassic stratigraphy are clarified on the basis of new macro- and microfaunal data and facies studies, and the principal microstratigraphic characteristics of the different Cretaceous and Tertiary stages are summarized.
