Abstract
The renal handling of gentamicin, neomycin and cephaloridine has been measured in the isolated perfused rat kidney. This model provides a sensitive indicator of renal function including tubular transport mechanisms. A specific effect of gentamicin on potassium excretion has been noted which may indicate the site of gentamicin toxicity. Keywords
