Abstract
We utilize an atomic independent-particle model to calculate photoionization cross sections for atomic nitrogen and atomic oxygen as a function of the wavelength of the incident radiation, from threshold down to 10 Å. Comparison is made with available experimental data and the results of Hartree-Fock calculations. Keywords
