Abstract
Large populations of bush limabeans, squash, cucumber and rye were planted. Percentage germination was obtained after 7 days based on counts of the number of normal seedlings per replicate. High concns. of technical DDT significantly depressed germination of rye and squash seeds; p,p''-DDT did not. Preliminary data indicated O,p''-DDT and 2-trichloro-l-p-chlorophenylethanol to be the most toxic compounds in technical DDT.Keywords
