Abstract
The purpose of this study is to take exception with the viewer/network confrontation strategies currently employed by national viewer organizations. An in‐depth analysis of The White Shadow provides a model for an analytical method which implies a more effective strategy which stems from a more positive rationale. The method, strategy, and rationale are discussed.Keywords
