The Relation of Abundance of Parasites to Weather Conditions1

Abstract
Parasites are governed by the same laws as other insects. Abundance is influenced by weather but no definite general rules as to the relative effect upon the host and the parasite can be laid down. The test of abundance is abundance itself as shown by continuous quantitative collections correlated with complete weather records. Experiments are necessary to indicate which of several correlated factors are controlling each particular case.
