Abstract
SUMMARY: A double‐blind trial of the drug carisoprodol in athetoid children showed no overall statistical evidence of the value of the drug.There was some evidence of improvement compared with the placebo in occasional cases.The same finding was made in a similar double‐blind trial of carisoprodol in spastic children.RÉSUMÉ: Aucune évidence statistique de la valeur de la drogue nommée carisoprodol n'est apparue au cours d'essais ‘double‐blind’ sur des patients athétoïdesOn n'a rencontreé d'amélioration par rapport aux témoins traités par le placebo que dans quelques cas isolés.Les mêmes résultats ont été obtenus au cours d'essais ‘double‐blind’ avec le carisoprodol chez des enfants spastiques.ZUSAMMENFASSUNG: Doppelter Blindversuch mit carisoprodolIn einem doppelten Blindversuch mit Carisoprodol bei athetotischen Kranken ergaben sich keinerlei statistisch einwandfreie Beweise für den Wert dieses MittelsIn vereinzelten Fällen, verglichen rnit der Kontroll‐Reihe, trat eine Besserung auf.Ein ähnlicher doppelter Blindversuch mit Carisoprodol bei spastischen Kranken ergab die selben Resultate.
