Aging and Whole Body Electrolytes in Inbred A × C Rats

Abstract
Total body water and lipid of adult A X C rats of both sexes did not change with age. There was an age-related decrease of total body K and Mg and an increase of total body Na and Cl of adult A XC rats of both sexes. Total body Ca increased with advancing age in male rats but not in the females. Total body Zn content was higher in old adult rats of both sexes. Total body hair decreased in old adult rats of both sexes.Keywords
