Abstract
The case history of a 10-yr old boy with calcific chronic pancreatitis is reported. His theophylline clearance of 450 ml/kg/h was several times higher than normal, indicating induction of cytochromes P450. Painful attacks disappeared concurrently with administration of antioxidants. The possible relevance of these findings is discussed in the context of chronic pancreatitis in childhood. Keywords
