Abstract
IT is a great pleasure as well as a significant honor to present this, the second George Miner Mackenzie Memorial Lecture. To many of you associated with Cooperstown and the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, George Mackenzie was well known. His untimely death removed from the American scene a man of great vision.
