Abstract
For purification of yeast cytochrome c, yeast extract by the method of Keilin is chromatographed on Amberlite XE64. Yeast and heart muscle cytochrome c prepns. demonstrate similar properties, such as ultraviolet absorption curve, oxidation-reduction potential by ferro-ferri cyanide potential method, isoelectric point, and catalytic activity, except that the yeast prepn. shows wider bands on column chromatogram and more diffuse boundaries on paper-electrophoretic pattern than the heart muscle preparation does. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
