Abstract
This report presents outlines for approaches to intervening with opioid‐dependent individuals. These recommendations are based on a review of the extant treatment‐outcome literature, a survey of treatment practices used in Australia, and the views of a panel of experts. Recommendations for appropriate treatment goals, assessment, detoxification and intervention are made. [Mattick RP, Hall W.
