Abstract
The dielectric properties and phase transitions in the system (Pb,Ba) (Zr,Ti)O3, PBZT, are qualitatively equal to those in the system (Pb,La)(Zr,Ti)O3, PLZT. This proves that these properties are not caused by the high concentration of vacancies as occur in the latter system. The theory of diffuse phase transitions is discussed from two points of view: a usual thermodynamical formulation and the ferroelectric stability parameter of Fritsberg.Keywords
