Abstract
Three [human] cases are described in which Stevens-Johnson syndrome progressed in the course of a few days to toxic epidermal necrolysis. Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole, allopurinol in combination with hydrochlorothiazide, phenytoin and possibly ampicillin were implicated in the causation of the disease.
