Heavy-quark bound states and a potential model with relativistic corrections

Abstract
It is shown that a simple linear potential with short-range Coulomb interaction explains the charmonium and states satisfactorily when relativistic corrections are included. Unobserved states and their transition rates are predicted for the spectrum.
