Abstract
A rocking rotation furnace assembly suitable for the synthesis of optically homogeneous chalcogenide glasses at temperatures up to 1050 degrees C is described. Selenide glasses synthesized in this equipment have been shown to be uniform in refractive index to the fourth decimal place. Keywords
