Effect of Adrenalectomy and of Adrenal Cortical Extract in Pyridoxine-Deprived and Supplemented Rats

Abstract
Evidence, based on the composition of blood, urine, and tissues, suggests that adrenal cortical hormones do not affect the utilization of pyridoxine and conversely that the vitamin is not essential for the action of these substances in the rat. Adrenalectomy prevented the acrodynia but not the metabolic disturbances characteristic of pyridoxine deprivation.
