Abstract
Four cases of arteriovenous fistula of the high cervical vertebral artery are presented as a complication of direct puncture of the vertebral artery using the lateral atlanto-occipital approach. One case is reported in detail. The management of such cases is discussed together with a brief review of the literature.Keywords
