Abstract
In charge transfer reactions the influence of the solvent can not be described by the dielectric constant only as the transition state theory does, but the polarisation fluctuations of the solvent have to be taken into account. The theory is given for the reactivity of solvated electrons on the basis of quantenmechanics. Keywords
