Abstract
Modification (acetylation) of 2'‐OH groups of mRNA ribose residues does not result in a loss of their template activity in a cell‐free translation system from wheat embryos and in some cases activates inactive mRNAs. Modification of 70–75% of 2'‐OH groups makes mRNA stable to the effect of pancreatic ribonuclease. Keywords
