Abstract
The highly nonlinear current transport behavior of extrinsic germanium, electrically driven into distinct parameter regimes of impact-ionization-induced avalanche breakdown at liquidhelium temperatures, shows a variety of temporally unstable dissipative structures. We have observed experimentally three different types of current instabilities. Keywords
