Abstract
The inter-atomic distances and the coordination number of a Tb21Fe79 amorphous film were obtained by a X-ray radial distribution function analysis. The nearest-neighbor distances are close to the sum of the metallic radii. The local structure is nearly the same as that of Gd18Co82 in spite of the differences in constitutional elements; also, the Fe-Fe coordination number depends upon the composition. These observations support the binary Dense Random Packing of Hard-Spheres model. Keywords
