Abstract
Reserpine was tested for possible analgetic properties in mice. Using the Wolff-Hardy technique on the mouse tail no analgetic effect could be obtained in doses up to 10 nag/kg. Morphine produces a very marked analgetic effect at that dose which was prolonged by chloropromazine. Reserpine on the other hand antagonized the strong analgetic effect of high doses of morphine. Keywords
