Abstract
A detailed spectroscopic study of 186Hg has been performed using the 'Chateau de Cristal' 4 pi gamma spectrometer. High-spin levels of 186Hg are established up to spin 27h(cross). Several negative-parity bands are proposed. Properties of bands of 186Hg are compared to those of neighbouring nuclei. Keywords
