Abstract
The question whether there is a difference in the distribution of blood groups and serum factors between patients with psoriasis vulgaris and healthy persons was studied on 423 patients and on 907 healthy persons chosen from the same area as the patients. The comparison between healthy and affected persons was made by means of the simple chi-square-test, as well as according to the methods of Woolf and of Stevens. A statistically significant difference between psoriasis patients and healthy persons was established for the distribution of the blood types MN and for the frequency of the serum factor Gm(2). No significant difference was revealed in a comparison of the following factors: ABO (A1, A2), D, Ss, Hp, Ge, Gm(l), and Gm(12).
