Abstract
Intestines of the IVth stage larvae of bloodsucking mosquitoes [Anopheles maculipennis Meig., Aedes caspius Pall, Culex pipiens, Culiseta annulata Schr.] from the Kakhovsk Reservoir [Ukrainian SSR, USSR] were studied. The main components of their food were algae, detritus, mineral particles and zooplankton. The main role of algae in the feeding of larvae was shown as well as differences in the feeding of bottom larvae of Mansonia richardii.
